However, the administration is still investigating the matter. Meanwhile, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has targeted the government of Bihar's Nitish Kumar over the prohibition of liquor. He tweeted that 'Thousands of people are dying every year due to spurious liquor in good governance prohibition'.

Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav made a tweet on Friday from the official Twitter handle. In it, he wrote, 'Thousands of people die every year from spurious liquor due to good-government prohibition in Bihar. Due to the prohibition of liquor, the ruling people are running a parallel illegal economy of 20000 crores in Bihar. Lakhs of Dalits and poor are lodged in jails in the name of prohibition. Police has become corrupt and tyrannical.

Ruckus over death due to 'poisonous liquor' in West Champaran

Keep in mind that despite the prohibition of liquor in the state, the opposition has been continuously targeting the government for the sale of liquor. Meanwhile, an FIR in West Champaran case has also been registered at Lauria police station. Champaran DIG Lalan Mohan Prasad said on Friday that an FIR has been registered at Lauria police station on the statement of a victim in this case. Two people have been made accused in the FIR registered.

Administration engaged in investigation of the matter

Here, the villagers, on the condition of not publishing the name, say that the work of making liquor goes on in Deurwa village, where people drank alcohol on Tuesday and everyone's health started deteriorating. Here, many people are being treated in different hospitals.

Villagers say that many of the victims have lost their eyesight. It is also being said that there is a complete ban on the sale and consumption of liquor in Bihar, due to which people have cremated most of the dead bodies out of fear. However, the death toll may also increase. DIG Lalan Mohan Prasad says that the police is investigating the whole matter. He said that whoever is guilty will not be spared.
